General description: this is an introductory course in ordinary di erential equations and linear algebra, two of the most important tools in modern science and engineering. The aim of the course is to teach basic techniques for solving sim- ple di erential equations that arise in applications. Topics that will be covered in the class include: the rst order linear/nonlinear odes, the second and higher or- der linear odes and the system of rst-order linear odes with basic linear algebra. Prerequisite: the prerequisite for this class is calculus i & ii with a grade of at least c-. Class time and location: the class meets tr 1:10pm-2:25pm (online) 10th edition, william e. boyce and richard diprima.
