Overview: our judgments are only as accurate as the quality of information they are based on, but the information in daily life is not always accurate or complete. They way information is presented affects the judgments we make. We actively seek information according to bias in our information- seeking strategies. Our preexisting knowledge and habits can influence the construal of new information, influencing judgment. Reason and intuition interplay to determine our judgments. The social world influences us indirectly, through the construals and assumptions we make about what we are seeing we react to interpretations, not reality.
