Document Summary

The term culture is fluid amongst different societies. There are many overlaps between the way williams describes culture and the way he describes religion. In the academic field, culture and religion are typically studied separately, despite their many similarities. Culture is material things like books, buildings, etc. , but more importantly it is. Examples of culture are scottish, italian, indian. Culture is also certain things within our daily lives, like literature, art and music. Used to mark out and distinguish particular types of product which are thought to be of high quality and of considerable artistic worth. Within religion, there are cultural pieces included such as books, music, and art. Within islam, the qur"an helped shape the language of arabic because it was (and still is) a major text within that religion and therefore, that culture. Popular culture not only includes works of art by shakespeare, bach, mozart, but rather includes artists like beyonce, stephen king, and soap operas.
