The biggest divided culturally in the mughal empire was between the muslims and the hindus, a battle the hindus slowly will lose. The mughals tried to build their over version of the tahrir-timar system, but it never comes into fruition. Most of the mughal soldiers served as officers and had their own power base that had little to do with military status.
