Masculinity and femininity aren"t biologically determined but culturally. When we"re born we"re automatically sorted into one of two genders, two different worlds by our parents. Our parents clothe us into a predetermined course. Guys have more rough it up clothing. So strangers are clear on the gender. Toys are depicting courage, competition, daring, violence. Play, and the sexual boundaries of tolerance. Can make expressive sounds while playing like grunting. Altho parents tell you not to get dirty, they don"t actually punish youunless there"s a special occassion. You learn to test the limits of your rough play with your parents. As you calculate it, you realize you have more freedom to talk back more get dirtier and rougher than the girls around you. As you question them, parents reaffirm that they"re just different and have. On freedom and being different expectationsand you internalize those differences. Soon that indifference to male and female things becomes a violent distaste.
