CE 2200 Chapter : CE 2200 Spring 2015 Course Outline
Document Summary
Willson office hours: open door policy and by appointment. Text: elger, williams, crowe and roberson, engineering fluid mechanics, 10th edition, wiley, This course is designed so that, upon completion, the student can apply the basic principles of fluid mechanics to solve typical introductory problems of incompressible flow that are of interest in engineering practice. Student outcome objectives: the student will have an understanding of basic fluid properties and how these influence fluid statics and movement. This will include both plane and curved surfaces. This includes understanding the concepts related to velocity, acceleration, and flow visualization: the student will have an understanding of the basic control volume approach. This will include both an understanding of the derivation as well as its application to the conservation of mass, momentum, and energy equations: the student will have an understanding of the pressure variation in flowing fluids.
