Document Summary
Tuesday and thursday 10:30 am 11:50 am. Purpose: to assist students in becoming independent college learners who are aware of their strengths and weaknesses, who take responsibility for their own learning, and who use effective learning/studying strategies. The course is designed to introduce you to effective learning/studying strategies that will help you succeed at lsu and beyond. Required text: carter, c. , bishop, j. , & kravits, s. l. (2011). Keys to success: building analytical, creative and practical skills. (7th ed. ). Note: assigned readings must be completed before class meets. The text must be brought to class each day, as we will use some worksheets from it. Academic integrity: scholarly activity is marked by honesty, fairness, and rigor. A scholar does not take credit for the work of others, does not take unfair advantages of others, and does not perform acts that frustrate the scholarly efforts of others. The violation of any of these principles is academic dishonesty.
