Clavicle ( collarbone : location: above first rib, extends from the sternum to the scapula. Acromioclavicular joint: aka. lateral end, appearance: flattened portion of the bone, sternal end, articulates with the manubrium of the sternum, aka. medial end, this creates the stemoclavicular joint. (sternum + clavicle) Lateral projection that is continuous with the spine. Humerus: head, proximal, articulates with the glenoid cavity, anatomical neck, distal to the head, oblique groove, where the growth plate used to be, greater tubercle, a lateral projection distal to the anatomical neck, lesser tubercle, projects anteriorly. A depression the articulates with the head of the radius. An anterior projection distal to the trochlear notch. A notch on the anterior side of the olecranon, receives the trochlea of the humerus. A roughened area inferior to the neck of the anteriomedial side.
