Since 1970 the richest 20% have grown richer, while the bottom 20% have gotten poorer. Power elite= those who make the big decisions in society. Janitors unionized and made more than homes they cleaned. They have prestige but don"t necessarily own anything. May start to see themselves as an owner when in reality they are really a worker. Most common louisiana jobs that can meet your budget. Persistent stress of poverty ruins immune systems immune systems. More conservative on social politics, if active at all. More likely to be victim of crime, or be caught doing a crime, get harsher sentences. Determine whether your born into wealthy or poor class you"re more likely to stay there.
