Crisis of oral stage: weaning physical, psychological, environmental causes: trust: rely on sameness and continuity of our providers. Trust oneself and capacity of one"s organism to cope with urges. She will come back and feed you right thing in right quantity at right time. Feeds, reassures, cuddles, keeps warm: mistrust: sense of being deprived, divided, abandoned. Oral optimism: giving and receiving, cooperation, world=negotiable. Oral pessimism: feeling deprived, being left empty, being left, being no good starved of stimulation, withdraw, world = depriving. Oral sadism: feeling threatened cruel need to get and to take in ways harmful to others, aggression, world = threatening.
