Diverse learners range in both racial and ethnic differences, and it"s important to view these differences as an educational opportunity rather than a barrier. Culture determines the way a person views and interprets the world, largely influencing their actions and perceptions. Culture is encompassed by the values a society holds and the dominant culture evident in a given society. Language is found to be an important tool in determining whether a concept has been grasped, this is another factor that is largely determined on where you"re from and where you live. The overarching cultural aspects of a society are those of the macro culture, and smaller subgroups that reveal distinguishing characteristics in that given society (such as language, status, values, etc ) is the micro culture.
