Annie ma: i believe that my partner and i were able to provide the family with helpful information in accordance to their needs. For example because the patient"s wife, rosa, was catholic, my partner and i recommended her to see a priest to help her in deciding whether or not to have her husband to continue to stay on life support. However it was very hard when suddenly put in such a emotion filled situation: i think that in mr. lopez"s situation the best interpersonal skill that was used most is listening. Rosa needed someone to listen to how she felt about mr. lopez and reinforce the idea that even if mr. lopez passes away god will be with him: we tried to incorporate spikes. But we ended up using more of the learn framework: in the learn framework bullets like listen, acknowledge, and recommend were used many times.
