Convergence of tv and broadband: western media conglomerates have regionalized and localized their content to become the global popular , southern media organizations have become global operators through glocalization of these western media conglomerates. Creation of professional careers through globalization of western media: localization of media content & out-sourcing of digital media for transnational corporations have provided the impetus for the formation of important global hubs for creative industreis. Second layer of international media players includes both private as well as state- sponsored flows: strong regional presence but are also aimed at audiences outside their primary constituency.
