Four different floras in our body are the skin flora, oral flora, genital flora, and the gut flora. Our micro biome contains 100 times more genes than we have this creates the formation of our second genome. The environment that the bacteria lives in is what determines the enterotype. When determine the environment this is based off what the person is eating and how their gut is composed from what is being consumed. Five diseases associated with the gut flora are diabetes, obesity, crohn disease, autism, and cancer. The obvious material used for screening the gut flora is poop.
