Must be able to recognize the differences amongst these physical objects. Recognizing these differences means that they occur due to the different arrangements and interactions of the fundamental physical elements that make up these objects. Reduction is exemplified by the relation between macroscopic substance water and the microstructural property known as h2o. Water"s chemical makeup explains its behavior at room temperature, why it"s odorless, why salt dissolves in it, etc, Realization is a relationship that involves itself with different levels of abstraction. Realization worries about the fundamental structures of an object (i. e. ions, cells) These objects capture that abstract dimensions of similarity among things that may vary in composition. Higher order property - having some other property that fits certain specification.
