Classes described in this article are different from the typical categorization. If you"re able to think about your future and are psychologically capable of providing for a distant future, you are considered to be upper class. Upper class are the most future oriented on the scale of classes. Is able to sacrifice some of the present satisfaction for future incentives. Self sufficient, self respecting, and self confident. Individuals expect to be at their prime even at 60 years of age. Not as future oriented as the ideal upper class member. Not really worried about the future of mankind. Confident in their abilities to influence the future. But doesn"t expect to influence a distant future like the upper class do. Not really putting importance on self expression.
