Document Summary

Human development study advent: nothing is ever new in economic science, and a few decades later, no enduring advances emerge, flourish, wither and die, to be born again. This is the case for theories of human evolution: pioneers of economic thinking have never forgotten that the true purpose of growth was to help people wealth creation was just a means. That"s why the concern in classical economic literature lies with the whole of society, not just the economy. Early economists "obsession with real people was not replaced by fascination with technology and industrial chimneys: since world war ii, however, an obsession with economic growth models and national revenue accounts arose. What was important was what was measurable and expensive. People were also ignored as beneficial agents of change and development. Learned treatises on how to maximize productivity have been published but little has been written about how to better human lives.
