Letter, crooked letter is most notable for its heavy-handed treatment of race the zombie mask owned by larry ott. The first meaning is the fact that larry was forced to live like a zombie because of his assumed guilt in the disappearance of cindy walker. Larry of her death even though he never confessed, and her body was never found. He lived a lonely life and was shunned by the entire town. Secondly, the mask represents a monster, which is associated with violence. There are three characters in the novel that can be linked to the symbolism of the zombie mask.
