After reading my classmate"s responses and the lecture notes about paradise lost book 9, i now have a better understanding of the text. I was confused as to why adam would have wanted to have sex with eve right after they ate the fruit and my classmate madison helped me to understand why. Apparently this symbolized their love for one another turning into lust for one another. This is also when they realized that they were naked and felt shameful. I think milton included this to show how the fall corrupted human logic and even such a beautiful thing as love and relationships. I also found it very interesting that several of my classmates agreed that they think god would accept satan back into heaven if he were to repent of his sins. This thought challenged me to do some research because from personal experience, i never thought of hell being a place you could just come back from.
