Wilson chapter 4 (pp 67-73; 86-91) & chapter 8. The subconscious spirit is closely aligned with the body, but at the same time seems to be rebellious and highly emotional . A curious tendency of the human mind to turn against itself . People fail to recognize it as a separate entity, we remain unable to balance the total psyche. The two spirits or soul, human beings also contain higher self superior conscious being who control future potential. The three selves or souls, correspond to different levels in a hierarchy or awareness. The reason that future events go awry, is because the conscious self (or ego) contains contradictions due to its lack of awareness of other entities. Consider the role that narration and construction play in the experience of the conscious self. People are motivated to keep some thoughts and feelings outside of consciousness usually because they are unpleasant or anxiety provoking.
