Vital Events- Are deaths, marriages, divorces, and fetal deaths.
Public Health Surveillance- Refers to the systematic and continuous gathering of information
about the occurrence of diseases and other health phenomena.
Syndromic Surveillance- Using health-related data that precede diagnosis and signal a sufficient
probability of a case or an outbreak to warrant further public health response.
Life Expectancy- Refers to the number of years that a person is expected to live, at any particular
year.
Maternal Mortality- Encompasses maternal deaths that result from causes associated with
pregnancy.
