After gilgamesh gets back to the city from battle, he gets clean. He showers and puts on his crown. Ishtar pleads to have gilgamesh marry her, but he refuses based on evidence that she has turned her past lovers into animals after she loses interest in the love. Ishtar is really mad and goes to anu and antum both of her parents who are gods of. Firmament and asks if she can use the bull of heaven (aka the constellation of taurus) to kill gilgamesh for refusing her marriage offer. Anu does not understand her anger and refuses and then ishtar threatens to let all of the dead in the underworld into the world. Anu allows her to use the bull of heaven. The bull kills many people and then enkidu starts wrestling with the bull, then he calls. Gilgamesh to help and they kill it and offer it as sacrifice to shamash (the sun god)
