Work Accomplished = time spend x intensity of focus ✦ EFFECTIVE STUDY BURTS: 1: Time Management (recharge time) 2: Self-Motivation (overcoming urge to procrastinate) 3: Right Location, Time of day, & Duration STEP #01 - MANAGE YOUR TIME IN 5 MINUTES A DAY A: What You Need: 1: A Calendar 2: A List B: Basic Idea: Record all your to-dos & deadlines on calendar 1: Jot down new tasks & assignments on your list during the day 2: Next morning, transfer these new items from 3: Take a couple of min. to plan your day. UPDATE YOUR CALENDAR EACH MORNING 1: Every morning, spend few min. updating your cal. and figure out what you should try to accomplish. ✦ From list, from the day before • "things to remember" ˠ the new to-dos & deadlines that were jotted down throughout the day, - transfer then to cal. • deadlines on appropriate dates • to-dos on the days when you plan to complete them ✦ Divide list into 2 columns: • today's schedule & things to remember • try to label each of your to-dos for the day w/ specific time periods during which you are going to complete it (BE HONEST) - be reasonable about how long things really take - group little tasks in 1 big block
