Atmospheric conditions influence ice and snow in a region. 21st century most important thing for changing conditions are greenhouse gasses. The last 10,000 years have been a warm period in in the earth"s history. Solar changes are caused by changed in the earth"s orbit + tilt and orientation of the earth"s axis. Recent increase in temperature because of loss of sea ice, tundra to shrub vegetation, marine and terrestrial migration high latitudes. When either of the patterns is in its positive extreme, the pattern contributes to an overall arctic warm period. (33) Used to simulate the effects of natural variability. Feedback is the modification of a process by the changes which in turn come from that same process. Feedbacks from air temperatures, ice and snow albedo, and clouds. High albedos mean that they reflect most solar radiation. Warmer polar temperatures area of sea ice and snow cover decrease. Meaning exposed land will absorb solar radiation more warming.
