1:59 pm o o o o o o o o o o. January 1636- the war continues without any sign that it will end. A lieutenant and 3 soldiers step out of the woods they approach the farmhouse and grab the farm family out of the house. Kattrin pokes her head out and is caught. They ask the farm family to show where the road to town is. The soldiers find the animals and threaten to kill them. The son gives in and leads them away. Farm father climbs on the room with a ladder and sees that the woods are full of soldiers- worries about the city. They all kneel to pray for the city. Kattrin worries about her mother who went into the city for business. Kattrin grabs the drum from the wagon and climbs the ladder to the roof and starts banging the drum, trying to alert the city.
