Tips for writing a paper is to invent, then go back and process it: invention. Gather ideas, understand the task (even reread the prompt multiple times! ), figure out what you want and feel. Make notes and annotations of the reading. Ask questions for any step of the way that you do not feel confident about: brainstorm your ideas. Free write, but make sure to have some set focus. Research additional evidence to enhance your paper. All these steps lead to what is called pre-writing. Helpful to jot down bunch of ideas and condense them into a purposeful paper.
