There are four potential causes of communication apprehension: genetic contributors, environmental reinforcers, personality traits, cultural factors. Communibiology- the study of the biological bases of human communication. Suggests that ca may have a predominantly hereditary basis. Studies of identical twins raised together compared to those separated at birth show that people may inherit behaviors and temperament traits. Genetic contributors- combinations of inherited tendencies that may exert influence on our behavior preferences.
