This is the main argument that the author is trying to advance. International migration is directly related to globalization in the world economy. Argues- migration flows have been transformed in two ways by globalization. 1) greater flows because globalization has increased the number of condition tions prompting migration and the number of geographical areas subject to those conditions. 2) globalization modifications of the character of migration flow.
