Focused on memorization of quran and texts. God set men above woman therefore men were guardians of woman. Wo(cid:373)a(cid:374) could(cid:374)"t participate i(cid:374) legal, religious or civic duties. Muslim education relied on reputation of teacher. Spread of arabic language was more important than islam for cultural change. Muslim medical knowledge was superior to west. Wrote books on philosophy, geography and jurisprudence.
