Document Summary

The plague started in egypt and spread outward like that. It always started on the coast and then moved inland. The plague started off slow and its symptoms weren"t concerning: a fever, but not so high that anyone thought it was any danger, and a cough. People with these symptoms would die within the day. As time progressed, the number of people dying increased exponentially and new forms of the disease came about. People who erupted in black spots died the same day as did people who coughed or threw up blood. With the plague, people claimed to see strangers that were demons disguised as people that would hit them before they fell sick. Other people claimed to have visions of demons cursing them before they fell ill. The only version of the disease where people survived was when they had bubonic swelling and either fell into a coma or a mad delirium.
