She went through the history and reminded us that racism was alive in america for the past years. Although it is a good thing to celebrate manuel"s historical moment, we cannot forget racism has kept many african americans from learning to swim. His primary goal is to making people know there is a long history of inequality about black folks and swimming, and to remind us to remember the person who yelled for their right in the. To establish his credibility, johnson, like any good writer, employs loges, pathos and ethos to plead with the audience which is the whole americans to take his side. In johnson"s argument, both organization and logos increase the credibility.
