Violence is less likely where avoidance is possible; recall, for example, that there was a dramatic increase in rates of violence among a traditionally nomadic people: the scarcity of information. Confrontation is further undermined and moral minimalism further encouraged by the scarcity of social knowledge involved in middle class relationships.
