Three routes for an oil pipeline were proposed, and the most direct option would cut straight across serengeti national park: poaching is on the rise and animal populations are falling. Endangered species act: offers protection to species that are judged to be endangered (in danger of becoming extinct in the near future) or threatened (likely to become endangered soon).
