Document Summary

Relationships and communication between humans is full of complexity and has been a source of conflict for a long time. While humans share innate traits and ancestors, evolution has resulted in societies that are distinct in terms of structure, language, and rules. Although we are all human, we do not necessarily all understand each other. When we enter a new environment with people unlike us, we must learn to adapt to be able to communicate and cooperate. When diverse groups of humans come together, they must rise above the conflict and barriers of the unknown. Whether it be customs, language, or something else that creates a barrier between groups, these differences must be overcome for humans to cooperate with one another. Both the interactions between outsiders and the tribes in south american and africa highlight some of the struggles of communication at the beginning of contact between new groups that have lived and evolved in different societies.
