The house i live in is documentary that shows the 40-year history of war on drugs showing the how costly it truly is for our country. The movie has full documents and insights of this drug world from prisons authorities, prisoners, police officers, federal judges, journalists, politicians, inmates, and especially families who have dealt with these drugs in their own communities. Over these 40 years, there has been over 45 million arrests in this invisible making. While the documentary recognizes that drug abuse is a big public health matter, it also shows how much poor communities across various states are affect because this drug war has turned into a business, supplying more than ever. The cannabis equity program in the city of oakland, california, is designed to lower barriers to cannabis licensing for those hardest hit by the war on drugs. This is enabled by verifying equity applicants to apply for a cannabis permit in 2018.
