White light = a mix of all the colors in the rainbow. It can affect electrically charged particles and magnets therefore light is an electromagnetic wave. All light travels through space at the same speed (which is the speed of light, around 300,000 km/s) The longer the wavelength, the lower the frequency and vice versa. Light also has particle properties: consists of photons. Light is both a wave and a particle in the way that each photon (particle) travels at the speed of light and is characterized by a wavelength and frequency. All ems waves are all forms of light. Atoms are made of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Atomic mass number = combined number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus. Isotopes: versions of an element with different numbers of neutrons (but same number of protons)
