Document Summary

Intentionality is the directedness of a mental state toward its contents: what is the inconsistent triad of intentionality, an inconsistent triad is a collection of three propositions where at least two are true. The inconsistent triad of intentionality are the three propositions. 1: we can think about things that do not exist. Proposition 2: thinking about somethings is a relation between the thinker and the things thought about. Proposition 3: there can only be a relation between two things if both the things exist. The other theory is the teological evolutionary theory which is the idea of having an aim or a purpose. They are similar because they are both theories of how our mental conscious represents things. The resemblance theory explains how we could see somethings being 60 ft. tall and bright green without my brain being 60 ft. tall and bright green.
