Leto had to trek across greece to find a place to give birth, but no one wanted to host her. She found the island delos to give birth to artemis and apollo. Hera grew jealous of leto for having beautiful children with. Leto went through labor pains for 9 days and 9 nights. Hera restrained eileithyia (goddess of labor pains and childbirth) from going down to help deliver baby apollo. Eileithyia was convinced to come and help leto who successfully gave birth to apollo. Apollo sets off on an adventure to find an ideal spot for his temple. Krisa is where he decides to construct his temple. Telphusa, a nymph, who lived there said the place was too noisy for his temple, and pointed him off to a mountain with a trap. Python, the monster who hunted him in his mother"s womb, was waiting there for him. Gaia is pissed and reports the offense to zeus.
