Document Summary
Primary reinforcer- serve basic biological need, food, water, etc. They experiment by seeing which actions elicit reinforcement or punishment: model- someone or something that demonstrates a particular behavior. Technology and media as contexts: cell phones enable quick communication, diverse knowledge can be easily reached through the internet, media creates virtual contexts. Supportive contexts for learning: create conditions that elicit desired responses, productive behaviors are reinforced and unproductive behaviors are not reinforced, clear response-reinforcement contingencies, reinforce productive behaviors that are incompatible with unproductive ones, model desired behaviors. In my experience, i find that learning in different contexts greatly increases my skills and what i learn. This reminds me of multiple field trips i took in elementary school. For one unit, we were learning about geology. For a field trip, we visited sites with rocks and minerals, and further learned about geology.
