Racial classi cation- attempt to assign humans to discrete categories based on common ancestry. Species- population whose members can interbreed to produce offspring that can live and reproduce. Genetic material- inherited from a common ancestor. Natural selection- process by which the forms most t to survive and reproduce in a given environment do so. Descent- assigns social identity on the basis of ancestry.
