Undergoes facilitated diffusion/ two types of active transport
Facilitated diffusion:
o Energy provided by going down the concentration gradient
o High concentration to low concentration
o Carrier protein binds to glucose, changes shape, translocates glucose to
other side
o Red blood cells use facilitated diffusion to absorb glucose
