It is impossible for us to know if god exists or how he is, unless he decides to reveal himself: we must search the horizon of history to see if there is any clue about god"s revelation. In a dark palestine village, almost 2000 years ago, a child was born in a stable. Today, the entire world continues to celebrate the birth of jesus: he lived in the dark until he was 30 years old, and then he started a public clergy that lasted. Jesus said that he was the son of god. It soon became apparent, however, that he was making troubling claims about himself. He began to identify himself as something superior to a recognized teacher or prophet. He began to clearly say that he was god. He made his identity the central point of his teachings. The most important question he asked his followers was, "who would you say.
