Digital technology are part of the fabric of everyday life and are integral to our experience of the world. Still photos emphasize vision since audio is removed. Muluhan described: perception is altered through technology, technology mediated experiences can be disordering. Twenge"s article discusses ubiquity of cell phones and social media and how they"re transforming everyday life, structuring relationships and shaping identities. Teens not going out as much as before can be seen as autonomy or bad behaviour. If no autonomy, twenge thought teens are stalling in becoming an adult. Teens document when they hang out which adds social pressure, waiting for people to like and respond and, people not invited to these hangouts will feel left out.
