Gelato example - comparing to italy (parenting - routines, scheduling, social norms) What are norms? generally accepted ways of doing things - italian parents more. Ethnocentrism: tendency to judge other culture"s by standards of our own; one"s own practices/ beliefs are superior. Cultural relativism: all cultural practices have equal value.
