Industrial society: new ideologies emerge among more affluent classes. Women(cid:495)s place in the home, women are predisposed for caregiving: preference to keep daughters at home, intensive mother suggests kids require exclusive intensive care from mothers to grow up well, children require investments education, etc. 1950s: economic affluence (well paying jobs) promoted family life.
