Provides legitimacy to the economic system of capitalism. Values that prioritize profit maximization and wealth accumulation. Liberal ideology upholds wealth accumulation for the elite above the collective good of all people. Equality - refers to the idea that everyone in society has equal access to resources. Everyone is born equal; how far one gets in life has to do with how hard one works. Meritocracy - wealth and success are something that one earns through hard work.
