Their pmax and irad power will be lower than plants that live in sunlight: no photosynthesized at the maximum rate, plants in the sun will hit pmax later, get more isat. Sun plant need higher amount of light to hit lcp. Sun plant curve is higher because they have evovled to use sun light more,, have saturation higher. Heterotrophy: eating things: herbivores: organism that eat plants. Carnivores: organism that eat animal: detrivores: organisms that eat already nonliving (dead) organic matter. Balancing between how easy to get food and the quality of the food. Plants: high c:n ratio shows that plants are relatively rich and poor in nitrogen: animal, fungi and bacteria: low c:n ratio show that animals, fungi and bacteria are relatively rich in nitrogen, herbivory. Easy for them to find food, but quality is poor: have to eat a lot for nutritional needs.
