Gender identity and expression continue on social terms and are biological construct. Teenaged boys are freer to deviate than teenaged girls. Amount of power a parent has in the workplace influences their control over their teenaged children. In more traditional male led patriarchal households with very clear gender division etc, girls are under more supervision and are probably helping their mothers with domestic chores and also have lower delinquency rates. Egalitarian households with more gender division of labour and both have same amount of supervision and delinquency rates are approx more even.
