Reqires a knowledge of different research designs and the advantages/disdvantage. Analyses the results, usually requires the use of stats. Development of theory a summary and a possible explanation of the phenomenon. A theory makes a testable prediction called a hypothesis. The results of the study will allow us to say whether the theory is true or false. A good theory is one that potentially can e proven to be wrong replication: others should be able to replicate what you have done and what you have found.
