Leading questions can cause people to answer in certain ways. Yes prime minister example: questions are worded in such a way that the person gives the desired answer. Leading questions can be used in qualitative or quantitative research. They are recent; introduced in the last half-century. Disadvantages: they can be more costly; you need to meet people in di erent locations. If it"s across canada, the researcher needs to travel around the country, especially to remote areas to appropriately represent the population. Can be conducted: at home, on street. More representative than phone or online interviews in many countries. They are cheaper and quicker to administer. Many people in many countries do not have telephones. They usually cannot exceed about 30 minutes. The interview does not have to be transcribed. However, they tend to have a daily high dropout rate, although it is fairly easy to get back to respondents once they have started the process.
